Hi, I’m Monet Goode.
I'm Dr. Alyssa (Salava) Stridsland, a neurologically-focused chiropractor serving families in Squamish, BC. I specialize in pediatric and perinatal care, working with babies, kids, pregnant moms, and families who are looking for something beyond the surface level.
My focus isn't just on pain. It's on your nervous system.
Your nervous system controls everything. Sleep, digestion, immune function, emotional regulation, how your body handles stress. When it's stuck in a state of tension or overwhelm, the whole family feels it. The baby who won't latch. The toddler who melts down constantly. The pregnant mom experiencing a lot of discomfort.
I use nervous system scanning technology to actually see what's happening in your nervous system, so every adjustment is precise, targeted, and backed by data. No guessing. We identify the root cause and support your body's ability to heal itself from there.
My Philosophy
Your body has an incredible capacity to heal when the nervous system is given the space to do its job. That's what guides everything I do.
I work with the brain's natural ability to rewire through neuroplasticity, creating real change over time. That's how kids who've struggled since birth start to settle. That's how moms who've been stressed and depleted through pregnancy and postpartum start to feel regulated and strong again.
My practice is less about your back and more about helping your whole family function at its highest potential.
My Story
I grew up in Minnesota and ran competitively through university. Then I earned my Doctorate of Chiropractic from the University of Western States in Portland. During chiropractic school I fell in love with the mountains, the Pacific Northwest, and a Canadian boy who was also training to become a chiropractor. Squamish is where we ended up, got married, built our life, and where we both now get to do work we love.
For the first few years after graduating, my practice was primarily rehab focused. It was impactful, but something was missing. Then I found nervous system chiropractic and everything shifted. I started seeing deeper, more long-lasting changes. Families transforming in ways that I had never seen with a pain-focused model.
I have had extensive training with The Pediatric Experience, Syntropy Chiropractic, Webster Technique certification through the ICPA, low force training with BGI and craniosacral therapy.
Then I became a mom myself. Living through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with this work as my foundation, and watching it support my daughter from her earliest days, changed how I practice and how deeply I believe in it.
When I'm not in the clinic you'll find me out on the trails with border collie ZigZag, chasing mountain adventures with my family, tending to my garden, or knitting while pretending I'll finish the project I started six months ago.
